May - June 2025

Morning Prayer is offered Tuesdays at 8am with the exception of June 3, when it will occur at 9am.

May 18 - Volunteers & donations are needed for the annual Clothing & Stuff Giveaway. Place donated items on the table near the Fellowship Hall doors by May 18. If you would like to volunteer or have questions, contact Debbie Mason.

May 18 - Last day of discipleship classes for the 2024-2025 academic year. During the summer season we welcome families to worship together in the service, and offer childcare for children 5 years old and younger in the Littles Room. Discipleship classes resume in September 2025.

June 3 - Morning Prayer at 9am. All are welcome, and families with children ages 5th grade and younger are particularly invited to kick-off the summer season by joining us for Morning Prayer at 9am. Light refreshments follow the approximately 30 minute service. Questions? Ask Deacon Darren or Elise Medina.

June 8 - Families with children 5th grade and younger, come celebrate a wonderful year growing together in our knowledge and love of God! We'll meet at the Ruritan shelter in Sherando Park at 11am on June 8 for fellowship & a potluck lunch so all our families with young ones can still make it home in time for afternoon naps. Please bring a nut-free side dish or dessert to share. The church will provide a lunch entree, drinks and paper products. RSVP to Elise Medina.

June 9 - Women's Summer Book Club begins at Deb Dunn's home in Winchester. The group will discuss Jayber Crow by Wendell Berry, a lovely story of a man's life and community in rural Kentucky over the course of the 20th century. The group meets beginning June 9 from 6:30-8:30pm.  To sign-up or ask questions, contact Deb.
