Walk for WATTS in February
We are partnering with WATTS (Winchester Area Temporary Thermal Shelter) by participating in their Coldest Night of the Year (CNOY) fundraising event. CNOY takes place on Saturday, February 28th, at 5:00PM. We will meet at Braddock Street UMC to start the walk. Participants raise money for WATTS and then walk together with our church through downtown Winchester. If you are unable to walk, consider sponsoring one of our team members.
Join us to help raise awareness of homelessness in our area.
Ongoing Opportunities:
WRM has been serving men, women, and children experiencing homelessness and poverty in our community since 1973. Deeply rooted in their history is a love of Christ and a desire to share that love with others through critical services and life-changing programs. Resident shelter, hot meals served, and a “market”, in partnership with Blue Ridge Food Bank, are some ways WRM serves Winchester.
